Revlon Colorburst Lipstick in Peach: Review & Swatches

 I was at Big Lots the other and picked up this Revlon Colorburst Lipstick in Peach for $2.00. Correct me if I'm wrong but I think the original price for these lipsticks are about $8.99. I've been wanting to try this lipstick out for a while now, so I'm glad I got this chance!

The packaging on this lipstick is pretty. I'm loving the black tube with quilted detailing. The top of the cap displays the color in the tube. Also the bottom of the lipstick tube displays the color name.

The formula of this product glides on very smooth. I feel I don't need to apply a lip balm because this gives me enough moisture to moisturize my lips. The color goes on pretty pigmented. The finish on this color is semi-glossy, so I feel I don't need to add any lip gloss. Also feels comfortable on the lips. It stays on for hours but if your eating or drinking, you may need to reapply.

Peach is a warm orange/pink color with some flecks of settle shimmer. This color seems to flatter my skin tone, really pretty shade.

I'm looking forward to trying out some more Revlon Colorburst Lipsticks. Let me know what colors I should pick up next!

Wet n Wild Megalast Lipstick ~ Cherry Picking

I've been wanting to pick this lipstick up when I saw a lip swatch of this color on Citrine's blog. I thought it looked great and I wanted to give it a try. I have four other Wet n Wild Megalast Lipsticks in Just Peachy (903C), Bare It All (902C), Mauve Outta Here (907C), and Red Velvet (910D). My favorites out of all four are Mauve Outta Here and Red Velvet.

 
 The color that I picked up is Cherry Picking (965). Cherry Picking is a deep berry-red color. It's very pigmented. The formula goes on smooth and settles to a matte finish. Can be a bit drying on the lips. This has lasting power but while eating and drinking the color starts to fade and stains the lips. I find that I didn't need to reapply this color since it last me for hours. What I don't like very much with these Wet n Wild Megalast Lipstick's is they tend to bleed around the lips. I would use some concealer around the lips to stop the color from bleeding. I love how deeper, darker lip colors make my lips look more fuller. Also how red's make my teeth look whiter! lol

I say these are a great buy for $1.99 each. They have really great pigmentation. Last pretty long without fading. Since these go on to a semi-matte finish I would recommend to exfoliate and moisturize your lips. If it's too drying for your taste then apply a balm or lip gloss on top.

Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in Darling

Yay! It's Friday! Never been so happy for the weekend to arrive. I'm not sure what I'm planning for this weekend but they'll be plenty of relaxing and some baking. Probably just gonna hang out with the bf. Watch some movies, munch on some funfetti cupcakes. By the way, which will be up on my food blog soon! {link here!} Any who on to this review...

So I picked up one of the many Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stains in Darling. I've seen these Balm Stains all over the blog community. Lots of rave reviews on these so I had to get my hands on one. Oh boy, was I wrong for buying just one. My butt is going back to Rite Aid and picking up some more. But knowing me, I would most likely wait on some sales. So I can get my hands on more than just one.

I picked up the color Darling because I love purple tone colors and it seem wearable. Plus I don't have many colors quite like this one. I always love trying new and daring colors.

I love how this Revlon Balm Stain is in a stick form, makes it easier to just twist the product out. No need to sharpen it, cause it's not in a pencil form stick.

Darling is a very pale pink with purple undertones. For me this is a very natural lip color, a bit sheer but quite build-able. I must say I really love this shade!

The color actually stains my lips a darker color. I kinda like the stain. But the product it self doesn't seems to last long for me. It could be, because of eating or drinking. Plus it's summer and my makeup doesn't survive long in this heat. This balm stain makes my lips feel very moisturize and kissable soft. I love how I don't need to add some gloss to my lips, since these aren't drying lip stains but balms.

The only down side to these balm stains are the price. Hence, why I'm waiting on some sales!

Maybelline Color Tattoo in Bad to the Bronze

Happy to finally get my hands on this Maybelline Color Tattoo in Bad to the Bronze. Every store I went to didn't have any in stock. But I didn't give up my search there was one left at Rite Aid. Yay! I'm glad I picked up this color. I wanna get some more when there's sales on these babies!

Maybelline Color Tattoo's are a cream eyeshadow that’s supposed to last up to 24-hour without creasing or fading. Now I don't know about you but who wants there makeup to last up to 24-hours? I did however put this cream shadow to the test! I find that is lasts me until I remove my makeup. It only crease on me once because I had my makeup on for way too long. But it wasn't as bad as Urban Decay Primer Potion. This really holds up on my oily lids, which I'm surprise. You also have to work with it, because it sets in. I had to work fast, so I can blend it out in the crease around.

This beautiful metallic bronze shade is prefect for summer. It's super pigmented. I have been using this Color Tattoo almost everyday. I apply with a flat brush and blend out the edges with a blender brush.

I find that these Maybelline Color Tattoos are a bit tough to remove. What seems to work for me are Costco's Kirkland Makeup Wipes. They remove even water-proof mascara. Eye makeup removal works well too!

I've be eying this Garnier Skin Renew Miracle Skin Perfector B.B. Cream for a while now. Saw that it was on sale at CVS, so picked it up. I've never tried a B.B. Creams before so this would be my first time using one.

To get started let me tell you my skin type. I have combination skin, which gets oily on my forehead, nose and chin. I also get dry patches on my cheeks, around my nose and chin. From my experience I really believe in what this product claims. It' very moisturizing and goes on smoothly. Stays put all day and evens out my skin tone. The coverage is light-medium, which you can build up. I usually just use some concealer to cover up blemishes. Since I do have combination skin my cheeks, nose, chin and forehead gets oily so I do use a matte powder around these areas. I still use a moisturizer prior to this. It comes in two shade Light/Medium (which is the one I have) and Medium/Dark. Light/Medium seems to blend well with my skin tone. Also very hydrating.

Swatch on the back of my hand. I did a heavy swatch so you can see how well this B.B. Cream blends and also how it's leaves you with a healthy glow.

 As you can see my skin tone has even out, redness in my cheeks covered up pretty well. Also loving the shade, it almost looks like I have a slight tan. The before picture was taken a few days later. So that's why my shirt and hair is different. In the after I'm just wearing the Garnier Skin Renew Miracle Skin Perfector B.B. Cream. No concealer. A little goes a long way. I applied this B.B. Cream with clean fingers.

Over all I'm happy with the after! As you can see it blends really well with my light skin tone, and it's pretty hydrating on the skin. I say give this try! Great for normal to dry and combination skin. I would say if you have oily skin to use very little. You don't need much and powder up your oily zones.

Revlon ColorBrust Lip Butters

Yes, the title is correct. Once again another post on Revlon ColorBrust Lip Butters! I just couldn't stop myself from buying some more.

The shades I picked up were Cupcake and Pink Truffle.

I've been eying these shades when I purchase the other 4 lip butters, but I had to limit myself to only 4. So I waited again for them to go on sale and they did. I'm glad I picked up these two!

Cupcake

 Cupcake is a light gorgeous baby pink.  Goes on a little sheer, which is great for me cause I can control how much color I want on my lips. The lasting power on Cupcake isn't so great. So be prepare to reapply as needed. I'm loving the shine on these lip butters. The only thing I don't like is how it settles on the lines on my lips. But over all it's a beautiful color!

Pink Truffle

Pink Truffle looks reddish brown in the tube but once applied on my lips it's more of a mauve-y pink color. It has a nice shine and very pigmented. This color holds up well for me and it's one of my favorite colors. I tend to grab this color more then the others out of the bunch!

The packaging of these Lip Butters are quite cute. I'm digging the quilted cap that's translucent. Each cap is set to match the color of the Lip Butters, and also the tops are clear so it easier to see the color of the Lip Butters inside.

Over all they have great pigmentation and lots of colors to choose from. I'm pretty much guessing I'll be purchasing more colors soon!

Revlon ColorBurst Lip Butters

Finally got my hands on these butterlicous babies! I've been looking high and low for these lip butters. I was jumping up for joy when I seen the display for them at my local Rite Aid. Picked up two shades, since they were buy one get one 50% off. Then I stopped by another Rite Aid that same day and got two more.

These lip butters are super creamy and glide on very smooth, and the pigmentation is amazing!

Packaging
The packaging is really cute. I love how they matched the covers with the actually lip butter shades. It's easier for me to grab the color that I want.

Maybelline Color Tattoo ~ Tough as Taupe

So I decided to cave in and buy at least one of the Maybelline Color Tattoos. I've heard a lot of raze on these cream eyeshadows. How they were compared to the M.A.C Paint Pots or Make Up For Ever Aqua Creams. I don't own any of the higher ends brands, so pretty excited to give this a try!

There were lots of pretty vibrant colors to choose from but I picked up Tough as Taupe. I was drawn to this color, cause I haven't seen a cream shadow like this. It states that it will last for 24 hours, but who wants any type of makeup to last that long? I'll be glad if anything will last for at least 6 hours.

I got this color cause I really love taupe colors. It applies really creamy and smooth. It's pretty pigmented, as you can see from the swatch on my hand. Tough as Taupe is a dark semi-matte color. It's a very wearable and would look good on any skin tone.

I applied it on my lids without primer. Wearing mascara in this pic.

I've been wearing it was a few hours now and it hasn't crease on me yet. You can apply it with your fingers or a flat eyeshadow brush. These Maybelline Color Tattoos are very affordable than the department store brands.

Over all I love the Maybelline Color Tattoos. I will be getting a few more of the other colors soon.
