NOTW

Here's another (super cute) nails of the week!

I got my inspiration from some youtube gurus. I think this panda design is super kawaii! It's also real easy to do and all you need is white & black polish to work with. It makes me want to paint other cute animals, maybe cats next time...hee hee

What I used:
Sally Hansen Hard As Nails, Hard As Wraps (Base)
Sinful Colors in Snow Me White
Rimmel Lasting Finish Pro in 430 Black Satin
Seche Vite & Clear (base & top coat)

August Birchbox!

It's that time again!

So I was excited once again to receive this months Birchbox. I heard a lot of people weren't too happy about this month...I kinda like what I got this month.

What was in this months? Check out the photo below to see!

I like the June Jacobs - Papaya Purifying Enzyme Masque. I tried it out last night and it was pretty nice! My face was super soft and clean! Plus it smells really yummy!

I never heard of Ouidad - Climate Control Heat & Humidity Gel. My boyfriend is pretty excited about this gel. I think I'll give it to him since we live in NYC and the humidity is crazy!

I was pretty happy to get the Shaveworks - The Cool Fix! I've been suffering from some serious ravor burns, so hoping this will heal my burns!

Can't wait to tried out the Smashbox - Photo Finish Foundation Primer! (I already have so many others! The more the merrier!)

As an extra, I received a Twistband - Hair Tie. Yeah....so let's see how that thing holds up my hair! lol It looks like a string with a knot tied to the ends.... -_-

Check out my last months July's Birchbox here!

NOTW

So here's another nails of the week! I went to my local Walgreens to find Clairol's Shimmer Lights Shampoo, cause I bleached my hair! But that's a whole other post! lol So I didn't find the shampoo but I did end up getting a nail polish and Suave Professionals Almond and Shea Butter Shampoo & Conditioner. (which I'm loving!)

So the nail polish I got was Sinful Colors in 953 Unicorn. It's a bright matte yellow color. It just stood out to me than the rest of the other colors so I had to buy it! Plus I only have two types of yellow polishes and I thought I needed more. It cost $1.99. (prices may vary)

Pros:
This polish is super bright and pretty. Cost is cheap! There's lots of colors to choose from. Just about any drugstore carries the brand.

Cons:
Some colors are very thin, you would need more than 3 coats. Not that long lasting!

Without Flash!

It took me about 5 coats to get this color opaque. But it turned out looking very nice on my nails. I used Seche Vite base and top coat.

I think I own more Sinful Color nail polishes than any other! haha

Here's one last pic! I was eating a banana moon pie and was like oh my nail polish matched the moon pie! haha

NOTW!

Just thought I should show you guys my Nails Of The Week!

I got inspired by Eki's blog. (btw if you don't know who Eki is, then you've been living under a rock! lol) She did this super cute pink glitter tip on her nails. The color she used was OPI I lily Love You shade and as a base color Zoya Dharma.

I used what I had and I think it came out pretty cute!

I used Zoya Shay as a base color, Sinful Colors Pearl Harbor and Wet n Wild Fireworks for the tip of the nails. I waited a bit for it to dry and then blend it a little higher up to give it that gradient effect.

I will be trying this again with my other glitter nail polishes. I just wished I had pink glitter for this, since pink is one of my favorite colors.

Well hopefully my next post will be something else other than nails, but who am I kidding?! ^_^

FOTD (Pic Heavy)

I haven't done a makeup look like this in a long time. I try not to use much makeup in the summer time cause it's just too hot for it! But today wasn't that bad so I decided to use my Coastal Scents 88 palettes.

I feel like I haven't been using them in such a long time! I blame it on the Urban Decay Naked Palette! I've been using that baby non-stop! lol Anyways today I did a green smokey eye using the Metal Mania Palette and some of the browns in the 88 Warm Palette.

So this is the look!

I think it came out super pretty! I don't wear greens that offend but I feel like I would now cause green brings out my brown eyes.

What I'm Loving...

At the moment is the Maybelline Falsies Mascara in Drama Black, water-proof formula.

My eyes tend to water on me. Weather it's from the weather or allergies, it just waters up and I get so frustrated. It also seems to mess up my eye makeup. Then my mascara smudges on me, a lot. And no one loves raccoon eyes expect for raccoons...haha

Anyways this mascara is super great for my lashes. Its smudge proof and long lasting. What I really love about this mascara is that it hold my curl really well. I tend to lose my curl with other mascaras. Even after using a lash curler. I also don't like using an eye lash curler after applying mascara, cause I hate when my lashes stick to the curler...ahhh

I think this is by far one of my favorite water-proof mascara!

I'm also liking the curve of the wand. The formula is pretty okay, it doesn't do much for thickening my lashes. But that's okay since I wanted more of a hold for my curl.

I use this mascara for my top lashes and for my bottoms I use Tarte's Lights, Camera, Lashes.

As you can see from the pics how well it holds my curls. Long lasting too!

Hope I didn't leave anything out...
