June Favorites!

So it's that time of the month.....No not that time.....lol It's time for June Favorites!

This is my first time posting a favorites of the month, so I thought I get on the band wagon. Anyways here are my faves!

As you can see everything is beauty related.

Order from left to right.

*Swatches down below*

Origins VitaZing SPF 15 Energy-Boosting Moisturizer ~ This moisturizer is just what I was looking for this summer. I don't like to wear heavy foundation cause I'm afraid my face will fall off, so I'm loving that this is tinted. Just the right amount of tint too. Plus it has SPF 15, which is great! Most likely I wont turn into a lobster...lol You can see how tinted it is when I swatched it. (I applied it heavy for picture purposes)

Garnier Nutritioniste Skin Renew Anti-Dark-Circle Roller ~  This stuff ROCKS! I've been using this for about 3 months and I'm in love with it! It works just as good or even better than concealer. I find that once I apply this under my eye and I don't need to use under eye concealer. This makes my eyes seem brighter and more awake. It doesn't come in different shades so I don't know how this will work for darker skin tones. But none the less try it out and if it doesn't work for you, you can always return it! ^_^

New York Color Blushable Creme Stick in Pink Flash ~ I've been using this blush all this month and I get so many complement's. Everyone's always telling me that I'm glowing, and how pretty I look. It's such a pretty pink. I apply this with my Sigma SS109 contour brush.

L'oreal Lipstick in Fairest Nude ~ OMG this has got to be my favorite color of all. (well until I find another color.....lol) I've hear so many good reviews on this lipstick from blogs to makeup gurus on YouTube. I've been looking everywhere for this color, but every store that had it was all used and gross. (I just hate it when people open and touch the lipsticks!) Anyways it's such a pretty color as you can see form the swatch! I also get many complement's when wearing this lipstick.

Maybeline Fit Me! Pressed Powder ~ I love using this on top of my Origins VitaZing. It ROCKS! It's just the right amount of coverage. I have this in 130 Buff Beige. The prefect match for me, but since I'm getting a bit darker from the sun this summer I was thinking of getting a shade darker. I'll wait for the sale! ^_~

Stila Sun Bronzing Powder ~ I've had this bronzer for a long time now. It seems to be the only bronzing powder I grab all the time. I have a few too. This one has always been the one.....lol The shade is in 01. I also have this in shade 02. This bronzing powder has SPF 15.

Chocolate Almond Cake

Who doesn't like chocolate? I know I love chocolate. Specially Chocolate Cake!

It was my dad's Birthday last Sunday and I made him this cake. (picture below) I found this recipe on Annie Eats blog. Once I saw the pic on her blog I knew I had to bake this cake for him. My dad loves chocolate, so I knew he would love this cake! I didn't really read her blog entry on this recipe, I was just too excited to bake this thing. I did go back and read it the next day.

I have to say while preparing this cake everything went well. Once I got it in the oven that's when I started to noticed it was taking it's sweet time baking. The directions for baking time is 50-60 minutes. After checking it after 30 minutes I noticed it was still wet and wobbly in the center. So I check it every 10 minutes, it was still wet in the center and I knew the cake was baking way too long. I don't know if it was my bundt pan or something but when I went to cut a slice I noticed it started to crumble. I knew it was baked way too long, but it just wasn't done in the center.

I have to say this isn't my first fail it happens all the time. So I try not to get too bummed out. All in all the cake was pretty good. Everyone who had a piece loved it. So I wasn't too sad about that. I will be getting a better bundt cake pan. The one I baked it in was pretty cheap, but I have to use what I have!

Anyways I'll leave you guys drooling over this cake!

This is another chocolate cake I made from the Hershey's Unsweetened Cocoa Powder Recipe. Easy and simple, and taste Delicious!

This is Annies Eats Blog. (link below) You should visit it, she has some great recipes for just about anything!

Hi! My Name is Liz...

And I'm obsessed with nail polish!

The moment you know you hit rock bottom is when the sales clark at CVS tells you about up coming nail polishes. Not only that, but points out that your always buying them and knows how much you love them! lol

Anyways there's some new displays out from NYC color. They had a whole bunch of new makeup and nail polishes out. I didn't need any new makeup cause I have plenty. But I don't seem to have "enough" nail polishes...lol They had a bunch of nice colors but this one color just stood out to me plus I don't own a color like this.

The color is in Persistent Putty. It cost $2.49. (prices may vary, depending were you live) It kinda looks like the color of mud, but prettier...lol  Also It kinda looks like it has purple to it. I think the color is alwsome!

It states that it's up to 7 day wear. This is the second day and so far the color hasn't chip. Maybe it's my Seche Vite, well see! ^_~

Well let me know below what your obsessed with at the moment?

Mellow-Yellow

I was going through my nail polish collection and noticed that I only one yellow nail polish...Hmm that can't be right...So I went over to my local drug store (CVS) and found this pretty decent yellow color.

So I picked up the Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure in Yellow Kitty. (how cute is the name?...lol) It about $8.29. (depending were you live prices may vary) I also noticed that there was a orange sticker on it stating that it was 75% off. Holy Crap! lol

The application of this nail polish took my forever, because the polish is very sheer. To get the results in the pic it took me five times over each nail. The up side is the polish is a very pretty color. I'm hoping that not all of the Sally Hansen brand isn't as sheer as this one. Crossing my fingers cause there are some very pretty colors that I'm looking forward to buying.

I'm loving this brush head. I usually make a mess when it comes to painting my nails, so I would get nail polish all over my cuticle's. But this brush is curve so it's pretty much mess proof!

Even though it takes five passing to get this color, I would still paint my nail is color again.

Let me know what nail polish your wearing!

Thanks for reading!

Minty

Since summer is just about here, I've have been dying to find a cute summery nail polish. I was looking everywhere I went and I wasn't looking for pricey ones, cause my funds are low...lol So my boyfriend knew I was on the hunt for a minty green nail polish so he found this for me at CVS. I was so happy cause I felt like the hunt was over but I still keep my eyes open for some other colors...hee hee

Anyway who, this color is so damn pretty. I think I'll repaint them again once my nails start chipping.

This is a Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear nail color in Mint Sorbet. It was about $2.99 at CVS, but depending where you live, prices might vary.

FYI I used Seche Vite base and top coat.

Sorry that the camera kinda washes out the color of the nail polish, so it's suppose to look a bit brighter.

Have a lovely weekend!
