Birchbox: December 2012

Hello!

I feel like I've been receiving my Birchbox late for the past 4 months now. I see everyone's box before my own...lol But I'm grateful to see one in my mailbox every month.

Well here's the last Birchbox of the year. Hopefully you will see one next month, if the world doesn't end tomorrow! >.<

Cartier Baiser Vole Eau de Parfum
This is a floral fragrance parfum with a note of flower lily. I haven't tested this parfum yet but I'm sure it smells lovely.

Mox Botanicals Pomegranate & Fig Lip Butter
This lip butter is made with shea butter, jojoba, and other natural hydrators. Claims there are no parabens, chemical preservatives, or harmful additives. Seems to be soothing on dry, chapped lips.

Number 4 Clarifying Shampoo
I love using clarifying shampoos once a week. It helps with product buildup, which I have a lot of. Leaves your hair feeling less dull and fresh. I'm giving this one a try this weekend!

theBalm Cosmetics Hot Mama
Hello Mama! This is a gorgeous peachy-pink blush with subtle golden shimmer. This blush can also be wore as a highlighter on the cheek bones. I've been wanting to give this a try!

AHAVE Dermud Enriched Intensive Foot Cream
If you have dry, cracked soles then this foot cream is for you! This cream is
rich with mineral complex such as Dead Sea mud to help with dryness. I've tried this before and loved it!

Cartier Declaration d'un Soir
Referred as "king of fragrances". Layers of pepper, sandalwood, and rose this toilette is bold and rich. This is such an alluring fragrances. I couldn't help but test it out my self. Will be giving this to the BF, hopefully he'll use it, if not then I will!

Well that's all for now! Time to get into the kitchen and start preparing my cookie dough for Christmas.

Happy Holidays!

Holiday Wishlist 2012

Beautysets - Christmas 2012 Wishlist!

It's that time of year again! Can you believe that the year is almost over?! I don't know about you but Holiday shopping can be extremely stressful. I try to avoid shopping at department stores this time of year. I know I'm missing out on the holiday shopping experience but that's okay for me. I always have Amazon! One of the great things about shopping on Amazon; beside the free shipping on certain items, I love how easily it is to add items to your wishlist. My wishlist is so long that I have folders for every category. haha

I thought I should share with you all my top items on my wishlist this year!

Ozeri Zenith Professional Digital Kitchen Scale
It's always best to weight ingredients when baking. So I thought this one would be excellent for measuring flour, sugar, cocoa, etc.

I love this cleansing face wash! I've been using Philosophy skin care products for years. It works best with my combination skin. I'm in need for a refill!

Cuisnart Food Processor
I've had this one on my wishlist for some time now. As some of yous know I' am a baker, so I love to grind my own ingredients. The first thing I would process is almonds, to make almond flour for macarons. Plus I'm in love this turquoise color!

Dr Martens 1460
I don't know what it is about these boots but I love them! I think they look so cool and I know I can rock them. I love this cherry red color too!

Levis Demi Curve Skinny Jeans
I love dark wash skinny jeans. I think they go great with just about anything. I also think they would go cool with the Dr Martens.

LORAC PRO Palette
I have been wanting this palette for the LONGEST! I've heard so many great reviews, plus tutorials on this baby. I'm loving that this palette has a whole row of mattes! As much as I love my Naked palette, I' am getting sick of it...lol I need something new, and this will do!

AE Fair Isle Sweater Coat
This sweater is so beautiful. I love the detailing and the knotted fringe trim, so cute! This will definitely keep me warm this winter.

Here's to hoping my boy friend reads this post! ^_~

What's on your wishlist this year?

Birchbox: November 2012

Hello!
It's been a while. I don't really know why I haven't been blogging much. But I'm back for another month of Birchbox! For those of yous that don't know Birchbox is a monthly subscription. You get to try out lots of beauty and lifestyle samples, for $10.00 a month!

This month's box is about giving thanks. They loaded this box with 3 samples, a full-size mascara. (yay, mascara!)

First up! Another perfume/cologne...I'm all for smelling good but I have way too many samples of these things! I don't mind receiving more fragrances cause I end up giving most of them away.

Atelier Cologne Rose Anonyme Cologne Absolue
This cologne smells of spicy ginger and a touch of bergamot. It has more of a sophisticated smell. I guess I'll be smelling sexy this Thanksgiving!

Lulu Organics Lavender + Clary Sage Hair Powder
This dry shampoo is great for hair that needs lift. I usually use baby powder but I'm giving this a try cause I'm all for smelling good like lavender.

Miracle Skin Transformer Vanish Instant Imperfection Corrector
Use before makeup to prep and prime the skin to mask imperfections. Will be giving this one a try. I'm also all for diffusing my imperfections. ^_~

ModelCo Fibre Lashxtend Lengthening Mascara
I love fibre mascaras that lengthen my lashes. This mascara (which I used right away) is packed with tiny fibers, which extends my lashes. Has a more of a natural look. Is quit build-able too. Will do a review on this soon.

Lifestyle Extra

Chuao Chocolatier Potato Chip
Bite-size chocolate bar that has pieces of kettle cooked potato chips and a hint of sea salt. Taste pretty good! Chocolate and salt...Mmmm Can you tell I'm eating this now?...lol

Also recvied a Birchbox Holiday Gift Guide and a $15 off  code for CHROMATICgallerie.com.

This month has been a yay and nay for me. The most used item in this box is going to be the fibre mascara. I can tell I'm going to be loving that one. I can always use the little gift pouch (that came in this box) and load that with samples and give to a friend.

Confetti Nail Color in Happy Birthday!

If it's your Birthday today than Happy Birthday! My birthday isn't until December 16, which will be here before you know it! I had this nail polish for a few years now and to tell you the truth when my birthday does come around I usually do wear this polish on my nails. It's such a gorgeous color! They sale Confetti Nail Color at CVS. (value $1.99) I have a few of these polishes that I gave away to friends. But this color needs to stay with me, sorry guys...lol

Confetti Nail Color in Happy Birthday is a gorgeous cool tone purple with lots of pink micro-glitter. The glitter isn't chunky so the polish drys to a smooth finish.

The formula is pretty thin, so I needed three coats of this polish to get that dark finish. I did see some lighter areas like around the base of my nails. So you might be able to get away with four coats. That is, if you apply medium coats.

Overall this is a beautiful color, and affordable. I love nail polishes that combo purple and pink together like this. Confetti has lots of shades to choose from too.

Halloween Googly Eyes Nail Art

Happy Halloween!

Hope everyone's having a safe and fun day so far. I'm going to be spending the day with my girls. We're going to just sit around watch horror movies on Netflix and munch on some candies. I'm not dressing up or doing any creepy makeup on my face this year. Just going to be myself this Halloween. ^_^

My nails of the day are the only things I'm dressing up this Halloween. How can these cute googly eyes scare anyone? These are so cute and easy to do. For the eyes I used a bobby pin. I used Rimmel Lasting Finish Pro in Black Satin for an all over color. On my index and ring finger I apply two coats of Sinful Colors nail polish in Full Moon, and white nail polish for the eyes.

I'm loving Full Moon, such a gorgeous color! As always I used Seche Vite top coat. Well that's all have a safe Halloween!

Now on to the FOTD. I bought these Red Cherry Lashes in #15 and I wanted to give them a try. I decided to do Japanese style makeup (Gyaru). I love Gyaru Makeup! It makes me look cute and sad at the same time. These lashes were bigger than I thought but I love them! There really pretty and they open up my small eyes. Bet you didn't think they were small? ^_~

I was trying to look sad like a puppy but it wasn't happening since I'm happy today...lol I used (like always and can't get enough of!) my Urban Decay Naked Palette. I seriously need to get the Naked 2 palette! I'll be putting that on my Christmas wistlist!

So here's what I used today for this cute Gyaru Japanese Style Makeup!

Color Club Nail Lacquer in Status Update

Hey Guys! I can't believe the week is almost over. I feel like the days have been passing by so fast. Maybe when day light savings time comes around, things will start to slow down.

I received this Color Club Nail Lacquer in my September Birchbox. I haven't use this color until now, I know what was I thinking! I love this color! Status Update is a dark charcoal grey color, with a shiny finish. This polish is very opaque, all you need is two coats. This is an awesome color for fall.

I wanted to try something different so I painted a triangle with a matte finish top coat, and finished it off with a half triangle on each corner of my nails. I think it came out awesome! This will also look great with even darker nail polishes, such as black.

This has to be one of my favorite shades for fall. Check my essie swatch, also one of my fall faves!

Essie Nail Lacquer in Carry On

Happy Monday!

Finally feel like life is in order and I'm ready for blogging! I just received this essie nail lacquer in my October Birchbox. I'm a big fan of dark nail colors. So I'm digging this color a lot! I know it's going to blend well for this fall!

essie nail lacquer in carry on is a deep purple with undertones of red. The color can look brown in certain light. The formula on this is great. It's very opaque, so all you need are two coats, top coat then your good to go. I love colors that are deep like this one. Deep, dark, vampy and very seductive.

What are your favorite nail colors for fall?

Birchbox: October 2012

Why do I feel like this month's Birchbox has come extremely late? Maybe it's because I moved in a very small town, I don't know. But I'm glad I finally received it!

This month's Birchbox has team up with goop. Birchbox + goop has packed a box with essential must-haves.

essie - carry on

I love it when I open my monthly box and spot a nail polish. I'm a nail polish hoarder, so I'm really happy to receive this essie nail lacquer. Carry on is a gorgeous deep purple with red undertones. It's really a nice dark color that only needs two coats. It reminds me of purple and brown mating together. This is a wonderful color for autumn.

Joanna Vargas - Daily Serum

A signature brightening serum packed with vitamins A, E and C, plus hyaluronic acid. It claims it fights wrinkles and fades the look of dark spots. I don't have any wrinkles yet or dark spots (thank god) but I would still love to give this a try!

Marie Veronique Organics - Body Oil

This body oil is packed with replenishing rose, neroli. avocado and jojoba oils to prevent environmental damage and help seals moisture. It's formulated without parabens or harmful chemicals, which is great. I tried it last night, works well and smells really good!

Sprout - Lip Balm Flights

This lip balm in Cocoa is made with natural wax, coconut oil, and cocoa butter. This is a organic balm which is great for sensitive skin. I sometimes get irritated with certain lip balms but this one is really nice, glides on smooth and feels nice on the lips. The only thing I don't like is the smell. I'm guessing it's because I don't like the smell of cocoa butter. But other than that it's really good.

Luna - LemonZest Bar

I haven't tried a Luna Bar before but I can't wait to bite into this one! I love lemons so this sounds good. Hopefully this will keep me full and away from the cookie jar! lol

I find that this month wasn't that great. Come on Birchbox! lol The product that I'm loving the most (you guessed it!) is the essie nail lacquer.  Hopefully next month's doesn't come so late like this one.

Have a great Sunday!

Revlon Colorburst Lipstick in Peach: Review & Swatches

I was at Big Lots the other and picked up this Revlon Colorburst Lipstick in Peach for $2.00. Correct me if I'm wrong but I think the original price for these lipsticks are about $8.99. I've been wanting to try this lipstick out for a while now, so I'm glad I got this chance!

The packaging on this lipstick is pretty. I'm loving the black tube with quilted detailing. The top of the cap displays the color in the tube. Also the bottom of the lipstick tube displays the color name.

The formula of this product glides on very smooth. I feel I don't need to apply a lip balm because this gives me enough moisture to moisturize my lips. The color goes on pretty pigmented. The finish on this color is semi-glossy, so I feel I don't need to add any lip gloss. Also feels comfortable on the lips. It stays on for hours but if your eating or drinking, you may need to reapply.

Peach is a warm orange/pink color with some flecks of settle shimmer. This color seems to flatter my skin tone, really pretty shade.

I'm looking forward to trying out some more Revlon Colorburst Lipsticks. Let me know what colors I should pick up next!

Birchbox: September 2012

Sorry for the very late Birchbox of September. The reason why it's late is because I moved. By the time I updated my new address on Birchbox. com, the box was already shipped to my old add. But I finally got it and in October...lol But that's okay cause then that means I get two this month! Yay!

Okay so let's take a peek inside September's Birchbox!

Benefit Cosmetics - Foamingly Clean Facial Wash + Refine Finish Facial Polish
I love Benefit Cosmetics, so when I saw this I was really excited to try it out! God knows my skin needs some TLC! :)

Color Club - Custom Color in Status Update
Not sure if I'm feeling this color. Hold on let me swatch this, one sec...Actually it's not so bad. Goes on smooth and pigmented. Probably only needs about two coats. Definitely a nice color for fall.

Nexxus - Pro-Mend Split End Treatment System
Couldn't come in a better time! I have major split ends that need to split!...that was cheesy. This sample package might not be enough but it's wroth a try!

twistband - Birchbox Custom Lace Hair Tie
I love these! I could never have enough, since they seem to be all over the place! lol I also love this lace design, really cute!

Youngblood - Mineral Primer
Love me some primer! Primers help me out big time! My fave at the moment would be Benefit Proefessional. It's a big plus that this is paraben and cruelty free. Also claims that it contains vitamins and mineral, awesome!

*Lifestyle Extra*
Mighty Leaf Tea Company - Teas
I love tea! I think these are going to taste awesome because there whole brew teas, which I've never tried before. I have three flavors, Green Tea Tropical, Vanilla Bean and Chamomile Citrus. I prefer cold tea, so I would brew this and set it in the fridge to get it nice and chilled.

Also received $25 Gift Card {for a $75 or more purchase} @ Madewell.com

Sorry for the poor quality of the pictures. I'm still trying to set up a place in the house that's more brighter. ; )
